Product Overview
This is a brass, 1-1/2” normally open 12V DC solenoid valve. The internal components are stainless steel and the valve has a Viton seal. This allows for use with weak acids and bases, water, air, gas, fuel, and much more. The viscosity of liquid media should be below 20 cst. With an orifice size of 40mm, this valve has a Cv value of 29 which can be used to calculate the flow rate.
The electrical enclosure on the valve has an IP54 rating which offers limited protection against dust and splash water from any direction. The lead wires for the valve are also interchangeable due to the coil having no polarity. This valve requires 40W of power to function. There is no minimum pressure required for the valve, therefore this valve will operate in gravity feed situations. The maximum operating pressure for the valve is 90 psi.
The valve is normally open, meaning it is in the ‘open’ position without power and in the ‘closed’ position while powered. The valve only stops media travelling in one direction in the ‘closed’ position since this is a unidirectional valve. Media travelling in both directions is not supported.
Coil up is preferred, however the valve is mountable in any position. Common uses for this valve include Solar Heating, Beer Brewing, HVAC, Plumbing and Irrigation.
