Product Overview
Atlantic Valve’s PSL-40 is a lead-free, 1-1/2” PA66 Engineered Nylon Plastic Electric Solenoid Valve. This valve is Normally Closed, 2-way and unidirectional. This means it is closed without power and open when power is applied. It is a 2-way valve with an inlet port and an outlet port and as with most semi-direct solenoid valves this valve functions in one direction as indicated with an arrow molded into the valves body.
This heavy-duty plastic valve requires zero differential pressure to open making it great for gravity feed and can automate the flow for applications up to 75 pounds per square inch of pressure. Manufactured with an EPDM seal this valve can withstand a wider range of temperature and pressure than NBR or Viton equivalent. This material is also far more durable and resistant against abrasion.
Configured with high-performance coils these valves are rated for over 70,000 cycles in ideal conditions and close in and instant (less than one second) and have an H Class Insulation Rating and a IP65 or NEMA 4 waterproof level making it great for indoor or outdoor use. The coils are fit with These are conveniently available in your choice of 5 different voltages which will suit any application.
With a 1-1/2” NPT threading, a 40mm orifice and a flow rate Cv 30 (Appx 220 GPM @ 60 PSI) this valve has many uses including automating the flow of potable drinking water, gas, air and other food grade applications. Many prefer to use this in their homes due to the valve being lead-free.
A pre-filter is recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
