The 4V210-08 series, 1/4" 4-Way, (5 Port) 2-Position Pneumatic Direction Control Valve with a single, low power, solenoid control and air return reset function is an upgraded automation component engineered for more precise control in pneumatic systems.
The 4V210-08 features a 4-way design, allowing for two different flow positions. The valve has five Female NPT ports laser etched onto its face, labeled as follows: P for the inlet or pressure port, A and B for the outlets, and R and S for the exhausts. When powered, the valve operates in the P to B and A to R positions. When the power is removed, it switches to the P to A and B to S positions. The valve also has a laser-etched position diagram for easy reference. Though the valve has 5 ports it is refered to as 4-way because two of the ports are exhausts.
This valve is single acting, with one solenoid controlling the position of the spool. It incorporates an air return function for reset. The specially designed internals based on the voltage enable faster opening and closing speeds, as well as lower power consumption. As a result, the valve's opening and closing time is reduced to under 0.05 seconds, with a power consumption of either 3.0 Watts (for 24VDC) or 4.0VA (for 110VAC). These features provide precise control over the pneumatic circuit, surpassing other industry standard valves. It's important to note that the coil voltages cannot be swapped, as each valve is designed specifically for either 24VDC or 110VAC power.
To ensure durability in demanding environments, the valve is constructed with aluminum alloy and utilizes NBR O-Rings. It features 1/4" Female NPT ports, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of pneumatic fittings and facilitating easy integration into existing systems. The choice of an air return function over a spring return extends the valve's lifespan by eliminating the need for a spring. Additionally, the valve is operated by a 100% continuous duty solenoid (ED rated) and comes equipped with a manual override button.
