Product Overview
The RSSM-2-24VAC is our most compact 24 Volt AC Brass Solenoid Valve. This valve has a 1/8” female inlet and outlet port. It’s normally closed meaning the valve remains closed until its powered. Once powered, the valve will open almost instantly. Its response time is fast; in fact it’s less than one second. Its low power AC coil requires 10 watts of power to operate. The valve is compatible with a wide array of media types and temperatures ranging from 15°F to 250°F. The internal components feature SS304 parts and copper shading ring. It has no minimum operating pressure and can perform up to 145PSI.
The RSSM-2-24VAC solenoid valve is one of the smallest brass valves we offer. It has a solid brass body with 1/8” Female NPT input and outlet ports. The body features threaded mounting holes at the bottom for a neater installation. The valve's seal is FKM, or better known as Viton, and 316 stainless steel internal components, which are suitable for a range of media types. Its recommended media temperature range is as low as 15°F and up to 250°F. This unit us compatible with air, water, gas, fuels, diesel, weak acids and many other chemicals. We advise you refer to a chemical compatibility chart to be certain the valve will be suitable in your project.
The 24 Volt AC coil requires 10 watts of AC power to open the valve. Its normal position is closed and the valve will return to this position when power is removed. The coil includes 5.5” lead wires that can be connected with your own choice of terminals. The coil is encapsulated making it resistant to water and dust, however it should never be submerged.
This solenoid valves recommended range of pressure is between 0 and 145 PSI. Its small orifice of 2mm makes it unconventional for gravity feed systems and it is not recommended. We recommend a pre-filter be installed to keep the valve free from debris and properly functioning.
