Product Overview
The SZW-50-12VDC is the largest 12 Volt Stainless Steel Valve we offer. This solenoid valve delivers approximately 245 gpm at 60 psi. This fast-acting, normally closed 2 way valve has a type 304 stainless steel valve body and 2” female NPT input and output ports. A 12 volt DC coil opens and closes the valve in less than one second. It is rated for continuous service and draws 2.50 amps, for a nominal power consumption of 40 watts. Designed for versatility, this valve can be used with air, fuel, potable water, and in food grade applications. Its Viton diaphragm resists heat, oils and chemicals, allowing its use at temperatures up to 250°F. The maximum operating pressure is 100 psi, and it can be mounted in any position.
The SZW-50-12VDC is a great choice for any high flow 12 Volt applications. Its 304 stainless steel construction and Viton diaphragm make it compatible with a range of fluids including air, gas, water, diesel fuel, glycol and weak acids. It is well suited to use with potable water systems as well as other applications, including those requiring food grade equipment. It is frequently used by municipalities to transfer fuel or water.
The fast-acting normally closed 2” valve is operated by a 12 volt DC coil that opens or closes in less that one second. The coil draws 2.50 amps of current when operating, which gives the valve a nominal operational power consumption of 30 watts. Although rated for continuous service, the solenoid is not intended to remain energized indefinitely.
Among our largest capacity solenoid-operated valves, this valve’s operating parameters range from 0 to 90 psi pressure and temperatures from 15°F to 250°F. The valve orifice size is 50mm when the semi-direct lift valve is in the open position. This specific valve does not require a minimum pressure to open or close.
The threaded input and output connections are both 2” female NPT. Use of an inline filter is always recommended with solenoid-operated valves to ensure the diaphragm properly seals.
The overall weight of valve is 6lbs, 9ozs. Its length is 5.30” from port to port, height is 6.50”, and width is 4.25” and it can be mounted in any orientation. The valve comes with 5.5” long lead wires for making the electrical connections.
