Product Overview

2-piece stainless steel ball valves are among the most commonly used type of manual ball valve, popular for applications with a manual on/off flow control that is simple and easy to use. These valves are vital for many automated systems as it allows for the system to be shut off for routine maintenance.

2-Way Full Port Valves

The BV-2PC-20-S series is our Stainless Steel 2-piece manual ball valve line.  As the name implies, these valves are composed of two pieces of Stainless Steel that meet at a single joint.  By manufacturing the valve with two pieces rather than one, a larger ball is able to be fit inside the body allowing the inside of the valve to have the same diameter as that of the piping it is connected to.  This is referred to as “Full Bore” or “Full Port” and ensures there is no pressure drop or change in flow rate as media passes through the valve. 

Our BV-2PC-20-S series comes standard with Female NPT threading and is available from ½” all the way up to 3” in size, all of which have full bore openings. Contrary to our solenoid and motorized ball valve lines, these manual valves can be opened and closed to different degrees and come standard with a lockable handle lever that locks the valve in place when fully open or closed.

SS Valve Body

These valves all have PTFE seals, which along with the lead-free 304 stainless-steel body, make this valve type excellent general use valve for anything from potable water to gases or corrosive chemicals*, along with applications that use high heat. This valve is rated for temperatures ranging from -25° F to 356° F and pressure up to 1000PSI.
