Product Overview

The PSL-20 is 2 way, 3/4” Engineered Nylon Plastic (PA66) electric solenoid valve. The engineered nylon plastic, PA66, has high mechanical strength, rigidity and good stability under heat and chemical resistance. This valve is an affordable and dependable choice to control water, air, gas and fuel. It is a normally closed, 2 way valve meaning it will remain in its closed position until power is applied, when power is supplied the valve will move to the open position. This valve can be mounted in any position.

The valve is molded from PA 66, Engineered Nylon Plastic, making it completely lead free and an ideal choice for potable water or food grade applications.  It has a 20mm orifice and the flow rate can be calculated using the valves Cv of 7.6 (Appx 58 GPM @ 60 PSI). It is uni-directional and will not operate properly on applications with backflow.  To prevent improper installation there is an arrow on the body to clearly indicate the direction of flow.  A pre-filter is always recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.

The PSL-20 comes in multiple voltage configurations.  Choose from 12V DC, 24V DC, 24V AC and 110V AC Coils with DIN 43650A connection type and a H Class – IP 65 – NEMA 4 enclosure rating. These coils allow the valve to open and close almost instantly, with a response time of under 1 second making the valve reliable and accurate.

This valve feature a EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) seal which offers outstanding tear and abrasion resistance as well as good resistance to dilute acids, ketones and alkalis. This seal allows this valve to handle a wider temperature range than NBR or Viton seals.

Connection – No Polarity, + and – can be interchanged.

*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for correct seal and valve body material choice.
