Anti-Corrosive Valves
Our full line of Anti-Corrosive Electric Solenoid Valves is designed for applications where standard brass or stainless steel valves fail due to chemical attack, seal degradation, or material incompatibility. This category includes UPVC and PTFE solenoid valves available in multiple sizes to support chemical dosing, wastewater treatment, neutralization systems, plating lines, laboratory automation, and corrosive media transfer.
All anti-corrosive valves in this category are Normally Closed and support standard industrial coil voltages including 110V AC, 220V AC, and 24V DC, with IP65-rated coils for protection in industrial environments.
Why Are Anti-Corrosive Materials Used for Valves?
Anti-corrosive valves are manufactured using non-metallic materials such as UPVC and PTFE to prevent chemical attack that can lead to swelling seals, leaks, sticking operation, or premature valve failure. These materials are specifically selected for compatibility with corrosive liquids and aggressive industrial media.
Some of the benefits of electric solenoid valves with anti-corrosive bodies include:
-
Excellent resistance to acids and alkalis
-
No rust, scaling, or galvanic corrosion
-
Improved seal life in chemical service
-
Stable performance in dosing and recirculation systems
-
Longer service life compared to metal valves in corrosive environments
Choosing the Right Anti-Corrosive Solenoid Valve
As shown in the catalog above, there are multiple anti-corrosive valve sizes and materials available. Below are the key selection criteria to consider before purchasing based on your application and operating conditions. If you need assistance, our technical team can help confirm compatibility and sizing.
Media
What type of media will flow through the valve?
Anti-corrosive solenoid valves are designed for corrosive liquids, acids, alkalis, chemical solutions, and aggressive industrial fluids. UPVC valves are well suited for mild to medium corrosive liquids, while PTFE valves are preferred for strong acids, high-purity chemicals, and highly aggressive media.
Always confirm chemical compatibility with both the body material and seal material (Viton) before installation.
UPVC vs PTFE Valve Bodies
UPVC Anti-Corrosive Valves
-
Best for mild to medium corrosive liquids
-
Pilot operated design
-
Working pressure: 4.5 to 85 psi
-
Temperature range: 25°F to 140°F
-
Available in sizes from 1/2" to 2" NPT
-
Common in wastewater, neutralization tanks, plating lines, and bulk chemical transfer
PTFE Anti-Corrosive Valves
-
Designed for highly aggressive and high-purity chemicals
-
Direct acting design with no minimum pressure requirement
-
Working pressure: 0 to 29 psi
-
Temperature range: 15°F to 175°F
-
Available in sizes from 3/8" to 1" NPT
-
Ideal for dosing skids, laboratory systems, sampling lines, and filtration manifolds
Normally Closed Operation
All valves in this category are Normally Closed. This means the valve remains closed when power is off and opens only when energized.
Normally closed valves are commonly used in chemical systems to:
-
Prevent unintended chemical release
-
Maintain control during power loss
-
Allow precise on-demand dosing or flow control
DC vs AC Voltage
What power source will be used?
Anti-corrosive solenoid valves are available with coils compatible with:
-
110V AC
-
220V AC
-
24V DC
The coil voltage must always match the power supply to ensure reliable operation and prevent coil damage.
Pressure & Flow Rate
Pressure range and flow capacity vary by valve size and design.
-
UPVC valves support higher pressures and larger Cv values for transfer and recirculation systems
-
PTFE valves are designed for low-pressure chemical control where chemical resistance is the priority
Flow should always be sized by Cv and available pressure, not pipe size alone. Detailed pressure and flow data are available on each product page.
Temperature
Anti-corrosive solenoid valves operate across a wide temperature range depending on material:
-
UPVC valves: 25°F to 140°F
-
PTFE valves: 15°F to 175°F
PTFE valves are preferred where higher chemical temperature resistance is required, while UPVC valves are optimized for ambient and moderate temperature industrial systems.
