If your searching for a Normally Open Solenoid Valve with 1-1/2" Female NPT ports that operates off 24 Volt AC power than this may be the one. This valve is fitted with a Viton seal that is compatible with a wide array of media types such as air, water, weak acids, fuel and Freon. This particular valve can work with low viscosity fluids below 20 cst.
This valve is uni-directional and allows media to flow in a single direction. The orifice size for this valve is 40 mm. The valve has a Cv value of 29, which can be used to calculate the flow rate of the valve. Since the valve is normally open, it is in its ‘open’ configuration without power, and in its ‘closed’ configuration while being powered.
This valve is perfect for a gravity feed installation since it requires no minimum pressure to operate. The maximum operating pressure for this valve is 90 psi and it has a temperature range between 15 and 250 degrees Fahrenheit. We always recommend using a pre-filter with diaphragm type solenoid valves to keep the body free from debris.
The electrical enclosure for the valve has an IP54 rating, allowing for limited protection against dust and splash water from any direction. Since the coil has no polarity, the lead wires are interchangeable. This valve requires 40W of power to function. The response time is also extremely fast, being less than one second.
