How Does an Electric 3-Way Ball Valve Work?
A 3-way motorized ball valve is operated by an electric actuator that rotates the ball inside the valve to control the flow of fluid and gas. The ball has a hole drilled into it that allows media to flow through it. The ball is positioned within the valve body and held in place by two seats. A seal is installed against the ball to prevent leakage.

L-Port Electric Ball Valves

L-Port valves offer multiple flow options. They can be used to divert the flow of media in two directions or shut off the flow completely. Rotating the ball 90 degrees allows materials to flow between the inlet and first outlet. Rotating the ball further will close off the first outlet and direct media between the inlet and the second outlet.
