Product Overview
This is a 1-1/2" Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve that is Normally Open with female NPT ports. This valves position is Normally Open which means it will not close unless 3.25 amps of power is supplied from a 12 Volt DC power source. The valve will stay open and allowed media to pass. The valve body and components are constructed of Stainless Steel. The diaphragm is FKM or trade named Viton. Being constructed of these materials makes the valve suitable for a wide array of media types. This valve is 2 way which means it has an input and out put port, its function is uni-directional allowing media to flow only through the inlet and out of the outlet.
The included coil comes pre-wired and can be connected quickly to the power source. The coil itself is resistant to splashes but not intended for spray down or wet locations.\
This valve will operate within an ambient temperature range of 15 to 250°F or -10 to 120°C. Its pressure range is rated from 0 to 90 psi. This means the valve will work well in a gravity feed system where no pressure is supplied. A Y Strainer type filter is always recommended to be put in line before the valve to prevent any debris from intrude on the valves internals.
