1-1/4" 24V DC Electric Brass Solenoid Valve N/O
Technical Details
Product Overview
The BZW-32K series of Normally Open Valves is considered a two-way, semi-direct lift valve and is made up of a body is cast out of brass with two 1-1/4” Female NPT Ports, and a 32mm orifice, sturdy wetted stainless-steel components, a reliable Viton Seal and a 24V DC coil to withstand heavy use.
This valve series is Normally Open, in the Open position when not energized. Once energized this valve will shut almost instantly, in under one second, as the coil creates a magnetic field that pushes the diaphragm down against the spring closing the valve and preventing media flow. This will remain in the closed position until the power is removed, and the spring pushes the diaphragm back up into place, opening the valve and allowing media to pass though again. This valve is uni-directional as noted by the arrow molded onto the valve body and will not operate properly in the opposite direction or if there is back-pressure on the diaphragm. If there is back flow in your application check valves are recommended.
This valve uses a Viton® Rubbers seal, also known as FKM. This seal can withstand temperatures as low as 15°F and as high as 250°F and pressure up to 90PSI or 6 bar. This allows for a flow rate of 184 gallons per minute at 60PSI equaling a CV rating of 24 making it an excellent choice for high flow applications. This valve can be used to automate and control the flow of various media such as hot water, air, gas, diesel fuel, Freon, weak acids and weak alkali. Common uses include HVAC, Plumbing, Solar Heating, Irrigation. Please note semi-direct solenoid valves do require a minimum pressure for gases.
The BZW-32K-24VDC has a 24 Volt DC coil with an acceptable voltage range of +/-10%. This reliable coil has an IP 65 Enclosure rating which is the equivalent of an H Class Insulation Rating or a NEMA 4 waterproof level providing a degree of protection against dirt, dust, rain, splashing and hose directed water enabling this valve to be used both indoors or outdoors. The coil comes standard with a DIN connector which allows installers to run their own wires into the screw-down terminals inside the connector. This coil is a step up in size and power from the coils on the smaller BZW series valves, allowing this valve to close accurately and dependably on this larger valve.
