Product Overview

9 to 24V AC/DC (auto detects voltage)

This is a 3-wire 1/2" Brass Electric Ball valve. Unlike conventional solenoid valves, these ball valves do not require constant power. The Red wire connects to positive + (hot) while the Black wire connects to negative - (neutral). The Green wire controls the open and closed position of the valve, and is connected to positive + (hot) through an inline switch/relay/controller. When both the Red and Green wires are energized, the valve opens, and while the Green wire is de-energized (and the Red is energized), the valve closes.

These ball valves take 4-5 seconds to either fully open or fully close, thus eliminating waterhammer. They also allow full flow without restriction. The XR33 actuator is rated NEMA 4 and IP67, thus they are compatible with outdoor use. Caution should be exercised during extreme weather conditions, as the valve may get damaged. The valve body is brass while the ball is stainless steel with a PTFE ball seat and a Viton/FKM seal. For installation, the actuator should face "up", especially when high degrees of vibrations are expected. A position indicator is located on the top of the actuator for ease of use. Media may flow in either direction through the ball valve as it is bi-directional.
