Product Overview

The UBP-25K 1" Pilot Operated Solenoid Valve is in NBR seal material designed for applications that require fail-open operation, allowing flow to continue when power is removed and closing only when the valve is energized. This brass piloted solenoid valve is also UL Recognized. Certification details are available upon request.

This normally open, piloted valve is commonly used in water and utility systems where uninterrupted flow during a power loss is a functional requirement. Typical applications include utility bypass lines, safety-driven processes, and automated systems where shutdown should occur only on command.

The piloted design allows the valve to handle higher flow rates than direct-acting valves of the same size when sufficient pressure differential is available. The brass valve body provides durability for non-corrosive fluids, while stainless steel internal components support reliable performance in continuous-duty environments. When properly applied, the valve is suitable for water, air, compatible liquids, and light oils commonly found in industrial and commercial systems.

This valve depends on pilot pressure and will not function below 4.5 PSI inlet pressure. Maintain consistent system pressure in high-elevation or low-head installations. Avoid use in gravity-fed systems.

Each valve is supplied as a complete assembly with a mounted solenoid coil, available in multiple voltage options to match standard industrial power requirements. The standard DIN electrical connection and compact footprint make integration straightforward for both new installations and retrofit projects.

The UBP-25K is frequently selected for larger-line control and pilot applications where fail-open behavior is required without sacrificing flow capacity or operational reliability.

Why UL Recognition Matters

UL Recognition indicates that the electrical components have been independently evaluated for defined safety parameters such as insulation integrity and thermal limits. This minimizes electrical risk and supports reliable operation in PLC-driven and industrial control environments.

Always follow proper installation practices and confirm material compatibility with your fluid, pressure, and temperature requirements.
