Product Overview
The SZW-50-110VAC is a fast-acting, normally closed 2 way solenoid valve with 2” female NPT input and output ports, a type 304 stainless steel valve body, and a 110 volt AC coil. Featuring a Viton diaphragm that resists heat, oils and chemicals, this valve is suitable for use with air, fuel, water, and potable water, including food grade applications. Acceptable operating temperatures are between 15°F and 250°F. There is no minimum operating pressure, but the maximum operating pressure is 145 psi. It delivers approximately 345 gpm at 60 psi. The 110 VAC coil draws just 0.5 amp.
The SZW-50-110VAC is one of our largest capacity solenoid-operated valves. Whether opening or closing, it takes less than one second for this fast-acting 2” valve to operate. The valve is normally closed and equipped with a 110 volt AC coil that draws just 0.5 amps of current. Although rated for continuous service, the solenoid should be powered down on occasion. With a voltage tolerance of ± 10% this valve is compatible with most 120 volt AC residential and commercial power systems.
The valve’s 304 stainless steel construction, complemented by a Viton diaphragm, makes it well suited for use with potable water systems as well as other applications, including those requiring food grade equipment. This also makes it compatible with a range of fluids including air, gas, water, diesel fuel, glycol and weak acids. It can be mounted in any orientation.
Operating parameters for this valve range from 0 to 145 psi pressure and temperatures from 15°F to 250°F. When the semi-direct lift valve is in the open position, the orifice size is 50mm. This provides an approximate flow of 345 gpm at 60 psi, representative of a Cv of 45. There is no minimum pressure needed to open or close the valve.
The threaded input and output connections are both 2” female NPT. Use of an inline filter is always recommended with solenoid-operated valves to ensure proper valve seating.
Electrical connections are made using the 5.5” long lead wires. The overall weight of valve and solenoid is 6lbs, 9ozs. Its length is 5.30” from port to port, height is 6.50”, and width is 4.25”.
