2" Plastic Zero Differential Solenoid Valve N/O
Technical Details
Product Overview
The PSL-50K is our 2”, two-way, zero-differential normally open valve. This valve is considered a semi-direct acting or assisted-lift solenoid valve. These are extremely versatile in that they can work from zero bar while still boasting a high flow rate. This valve has a 50mm internal orifice and a flow rate of 48Cv, at the maximum pressure, 60 PSI, this equates to a flow of 345 gallons per minute! The large internal orifice and zero-differential pressure requirement make this valve excellent for gravity feed applications as well. This is a 2-way valve, meaning it has two ports, an inlet port, and an outlet port, and must operate in the direction noted by the arrow molded into the body. These ports are threaded with Female National Pipe Thread, making installation easy and tool-free. Normally Open refers to the position the valve is in without power, this valve will be open without power and close when energized.
Molded from PA66 Nylon Plastic, our 2” Normally Open Valve is not only large but built solid. This is a good substitute for stainless steel valves as is completely lead-free offers great chemical resistance. When designing this valve we opted for EPDM diaphragms for this line-up. We found this seal offers better resistance to higher temperatures than NBR or Viton seals. Similar to the PA66 body, this diaphragm has great chemical resistance. While this valve is extremely popular with potable water applications and home uses, this valve can be used with air, gas, fuel, diluted acids, ketones, alkalis and food-grade applications.
The PSL-50K comes with our tough and reliable 210 Series coil. These coils have an IP65 or NEMA 4 waterproof level making it great for indoor or outdoor use and short-term protection against splashing and low-pressure water jets at all angles. For easy installation, this coil comes standard with a 43650A DIN connector. This allows installers to run wires directly from the power supply into the screw-down terminals inside the connector. This valve can be configured in any of the five most common coil voltage configurations, 12VDC, 24VDC, 24VAC, 110VAC and 220VAC. Our 210 coils require 38 Watts for the DC voltages and 36VA for the AC voltages. Similar to most solenoid valves this is a constant power draw when energized, it is encouraged to reserve additional power than required to account for variances in the outputs of different power sources.
A pre-filter is recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris and the valve functioning properly.
