Product Overview

The 3/8" 24V DC Electric Brass Solenoid Valve, model BZW-10, is part of our brass valve line and is a two-way, semi-direct lift valve with a normally closed operating position. This means that there are two ports through which media flows; the valve will open when energized and allow media to pass through. Removing energy from the valve will close it and stop the flow. It works across various media such as hot water, air, gas, diesel fuel, Freon, weak acids, and weak alkali. The valve features a heavy-duty, solid brass body that’s built to last in even the most strenuous projects.

The port size is 3/8” female NPT threaded. This electric solenoid valve can handle low-viscosity fluids below 20 cst. The orifice size is 16mm, and the Cv value is 4.8. It can withstand pressure up to 115 psi (8 bar) and temperatures ranging from 15°F to 250°F. The seal material is FKM (Viton®) for excellent chemical compatibility and durability.

This specific valve includes a 24 Volt DC coil with a ±10% voltage tolerance. The coil head is fitted with a 5" wire lead that can easily be connected to your preferred terminals. The top of the coil features a label indicating the valve type and specifications. Its response time is extremely fast—less than one second—making it a great choice for countless applications.

This model can be mounted vertically or horizontally and features a clearly positioned arrow on the body to indicate the correct direction of flow. It should not be mounted upside down with the coil positioned beneath the valve.

*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for the correct seal and valve body material choice.
