Product Overview
The SZW-25-24VAC is a Normally Closed 1” Inch Stainless Steel Solenoid valve that requires 24 Volts AC power to operate. A normally closed valve is one that stays in the closed position until power is applied at which time it will open. The valve will stay open until power is taken away. This is a food grade solenoid valve that will work will with other media such as air, water, gasses, fuel, weak acids and glycol.
This stainless steel valve has a 1” inch NPT female port on both ends. This is a great general purpose valve because it works with a variety of different media types and handles a wide range of temperatures. The Viton seal in the valve is capable of handling a temperature range from 15°F up to 250°F.
This valve uses a 24 Volt AC coil that requires 28 watts or 1.25 amps to operate. It can be connected with its 5.5” lead wires by soldering them or using wire connectors. It is rated for continuous duty, however it should not be left on indefinitely.
No minimum pressure is required for the valve to open and close. This makes it ideal for gravity feed applications.
