This 1" Stainless Motorized Ball Valve is a great choice for a variety of applications. Flow is not restricted through these valves and they are bi-directional, so media is capable of traveling in either direction. There is also no water hammer, as the open/close response time is 4-5 seconds. The valve body and ball is 304 stainless steel, while the ball seat is PTFE and the seal is EPDM. The lead free stainless steel body combined with the EPDM seal make it suitable for potable water applications. This specific electric ball valve is commonly used as a home emergency shut off valve.


Once power is applied to the valve XR22 actuator, the ball will turn until the valve is in the fully open position. The internal capacitor of the valve is also charged during this initial powering, over a period of approximately 60 seconds. A negligible amount of power is required to hold position in order to keep the internal capacitor charged. Once the power is cut or lost, the internal capacitor will use its power to close the valve completely. The actuator is rated IP67 and NEMA 4, making it resistant to splashes and sprays and compatible with outdoor use. Caution should be used during extreme weather conditions as the valve can be damaged. When mounting the valve, the actuator should preferably be up, especially during high degrees of vibrations. There are 20" lead wires extending from the actuator that can be used to power the valve.
