2" 24V DC Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve
Technical Details
Product Overview
The fast-acting SZW-50-24VDC is a normally closed 2 way solenoid valve with 2” female NPT input and output ports. The valve body is type 304 stainless steel, and a 24 volt DC coil opens or closes the valve in less than one second. Featuring a Viton seal that resists heat, oils and chemicals, this valve is suitable for use with air, fuel, and non-potable and potable water, including food grade applications. Acceptable operating temperatures are between 15°F and 250°F. Maximum operating pressure is 90 psi; there is no minimum pressure. It delivers approximately 345 gpm at 60 psi. The 24 VDC coil requires a 1.75 amp power source.
One of our largest capacity solenoid-operated valves, the SZW-50-24VDC is normally closed and has 2” female NPT input and output connections. A 24 volt DC coil takes less than one second to open or close the semi-direct lift valve. In operation the coil draws 1.75 amps of current, giving it a nominal power consumption of 40 watts. Although rated for continuous service, it should not remain energized for an indefinite period.
The valve is constructed of 304 stainless steel construction and has a Viton diaphragm. It is ideal for food grade applications and can be used with a range of fluids including air, gas, water, diesel fuel, glycol and weak acids. It may also be used with potable water systems. This valve requires no minimum pressure to open or close.
Operating temperatures for this valve can be between 15°F and 250°F. Acceptable operating pressure ranges from 0 to 90 psi. The valve can be mounted in any orientation. Using an inline filter is always recommended with solenoid-operated valves to ensure proper valve seating.
With an orifice size of 50mm, the valve provides an estimated flow of 345 gpm at 60 psi. It has a Cv of 45.
This valve is 6.50” high, 4.25” wide, and 5.30” long, measured from port to port. It weighs 6lbs, 9ozs. Electrical connections are made using the 5.5” long lead wires provided.
